5K Run for Awareness/Pancake Breakfast

Aevidum 5k 5K Run for Awareness/Pancake Breakfast

On November 19, 2016 Aevidum is planning a 5k Run for Awareness/Pancake Breakfast to promote awareness about the mental health issues facing teenagers today, how to recognize the signs, and where to get help.

In addition, Aevidum is inviting all participants and their families to stay and socialize after the race at the pancake breakfast. There will be games for kids, good food, and raffle/silent auction items. The hope is to continue to build bonds in the community for students struggling with these issues. Proceeds from the race will go to support Aevidum projects within the school setting.

The 5k Run for Awareness takes place on the L-S Cross Country course.

Meet SSD Maya

The District's new facility dog - Maya - will be at the race to meet and greet attendees. Maya was adopted from Susquehanna Service Dogs (SSD) partly using funds raised at last year's Aevidum 5k and pancake breakfast.

Pay-It-Forward Program

Aevidum’s motto is “I’ve Got Your Back,” and we want to show that by establishing the Pay-It-Forward Program, which was inspired by the “suspended coffee/lunch” programs that are popping up in many local cafes and coffee shops.

You can become a sponsor in the Pay-It-Forward Program by donating any amount of money ($1, $5, $10, $50 or however much you want) to the event. The funds will then be used to purchase tickets for families in the Lampeter-Strasburg School District who may lack the necessary funds to be able to participate.
